FOUNDED in 1924, Southport Golf Club has been recognised over many years as the Gold Coast’s premier private member’s club.
Its status is reflected in the hosting of numerous major tournaments, with both state and national championships: the annual Gold Coast Open initiated in 1959 , as well as the Queensland Amateur Matchplay Championships in 2012 and the 2013 Queensland Amateur Men’s and Women’s Championship.
