Cooroy golf course started life in 1936 as a 9 hole layout. In 2005 a second 9 was opened to provide what is now an 18 hole layout.

The layout is not a conventional 9 + 9. We like to say we are a little different – you play all the way out and then play all the way back in, similar to St Andrews.

Maroochy River is the Sunshine Coast’s newest and most exciting golf course. Designed by Graham Marsh, the 18-hole par 72 layout is unique in that it is basically a links-style course, with wide fairways, few trees and lots of strategically placed bunkers. What makes it challenging is the water, which is a feature of almost every hole, and the wind. It’s a rare day that the wind does not affect play, but one important benefit is that it keeps golfers cool in even the warmest weather.

Though the golf course was opened in only 2015, Maroochy River Golf Club has a long and proud history.

Nestled at the base of the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast, the Beerwah Golf Club offers a golf course that will challenge the most avid golfers and please those out for an enjoyable social day.

Our 18 hole par 72 course measures 6023 metres in length and, owing to its level layout, can be walked comfortably by all ranges of age and ability.

As we border a State forest, the golf course is home to many species of birds and families of contented kangaroos.

Those more serious about their game will need to exercise good course management as a number of holes require strategy more than strength.

We look forward to you visiting “the friendliest Club on the Sunshine Coast”
