| GOLD COAST GOLF COURSES |
|
| Nestled
in a creek side valley beside the Robina Town Centre on Australia's
Gold Coast, the Glades was recently voted Queensland's No. 1 Golf
Course by Golf Australia's 2002 - "Australia's 25 Best Courses".
This
picturesque 6,420-metre Greg Norman-designed championship course
is more then just a haven for golfers - it is Australia's most contemporary
residential golf resort and spa.
|
|
|
|
| Situated
in the heart of Queensland's Gold Coast, The Lakelands Golf Club was
Jack Nickalus' first signature designed course in Australia.
The
highly regarded publication, the Australian Golf Course Guide, and
its judging panel have voted the course as the best conditioned
Australian public access course in four of the last five years.
Multiple
tee positions makes this course user friendly and yet challenging,
whatever the standard of golf you play. Nicklaus has used bunkering
extensively in his strategic design and water features on many of
the course's 18 holes.
There
is plenty of room for error however, especially from the tee, and
as is typical of Nicklaus' design work, much of the intrigue and
strategy comes in the approach to each green.

|
|
| The
golf course at Hope Island Resort is an 18 holes traditional "links"
style championship course designed by five times British Open champion
Peter Thomson and the team at Thomson, Wolveridge and Partners. The
course has been given a course rating of 74 by the AGU. The
layout and design of the course is reminiscent of the great courses
of Britain and Ireland in the "Links-style" tradition.
Primarily the course consists of two loops of nine holes the front
nine starts off to the southeast in an anticlockwise direction.
The back nine heads off in a southwesterly direction, finishing
with an interesting challenging two holes bounded by the non-tidal
lake. The front and back nines are separated by an extensive practice
facility, consisting of putting greens, driving range and chipping
green with bunkers.

|
|
|
| Palm
Meadows is a course of such an excellent standard as to allow the
staging of the Palm Meadows Cup - a tournament recognised by many
as being years ahead of its time, and until recently the richest tournament
held in Australia. Designed

of the first championship courses on the Gold Coast. Palm Meadows
emerged from 350 hectares of marshland, just a few kilometres west
of Surfers Paradise. A par 72 measuring 6319 metres off the championship
tees with water coming into play on 14 of the holes, along with

Testimonials
Dear Ross and Toni,
On behalf of the Ukrainian World Golf Challenge Committee, I would like to thank you again
for the professional way in which you and your team managed and coordinated such a large
and diverse group of people at our recent golf tournament on the Sunshine Coast,
Queensland.
The huge task of transfers from and to Maroochydore and Brisbane airports of families and
players from different parts of the globe, and the movement of 110 golfers to and from the
various golf courses over the 4 day tournament went smoothly, the organising of which was
a mammoth effort in itself.
Your ability to deal with any problems that arosed impressed us and our visitors from
overseas and made our job of running the event so much easier.
Once again thank you and Toni for a job well done.
